Ok. I am really loving the Joys of the Season cartridge. I cut the pinecone bough and then removed the pinecone. It makes the ameliorate branch to fasten an ornament from. And talk about ornaments! The ornament is one of the feature keys on this draw so there are tons of beautiful ornaments to be cut out! I used Martha Stewart garnet glitter on the ornament and then diamond stickles on the inside of the cutouts. The accent is embossed with the Cuttlebug Snowflake embossing folder. Merry Christmas is one of the new Autumn Leaves Christmas stamps. Oh my goodness the stamps are soooo yummy!!! I embossed the stamp with black reflect embossing powder. I LOVE the red glittered alter and that color embossed background is just perfect for this scene!!!! Got some new Autumn Leaves Christmas stamps today and they are soooo yummy!! I just HAD to use them! I'm working hard on getting my Christmas cards done. Here's one more. I used my Expression with the Joys of the Season cartridge to cut out the pear and the swirly border. The photo corner was cut with the Jasmie cart. The stamping is from the new stamps I got today. I also bought some of the Martha Stewart glitter last night at Michaels. The pear is covered in the glitter and looks beautiful in real life. The scan takes all the prettiness away. I am loving this glitter and will probably collect every color now!! I did get garnet green and brown. Green and brown is what I used on the pear. Thanks so much for looking!! This is one of my favorite cards!! Love the colors swirls rain dots and glittery pear. BEAUTIFUL!! Hugs. TeriBeri WELCOME to my blog & thanks for stopping by! If you are interested in any of my work. "Taking A Look Back At City Future" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-21 16:23:27

come up CityFuture II for the city of Springdale is over and most of the city is still standing so it can be considered a limited success. My idea of what to do with the downtown Emma Avenue area. "Aww why don't ya just stick another high school on it," appears to have been discarded. CityFuture II which in the course of natural human events and the evolution of Western Civilization followed CityFuture I were both gatherings of Springdale civic business and government leaders to discuss the fate of the city. They decided the fate of the city is comfort its future. (I just made that up but it sounds like one of those warm and fuzzy back-patting feel-good mottos that Chambers of Commerce come up with.)CityFuture I was held in 2002 and -- unlike some other evaluate tanks -- many of the ideas from that first one didn't tank. The impetus for the street program (the group assumes no responsibility for the cost overruns) for building the ballpark and attracting a minor unify baseball team and changing bulky items expend pickup from annually to making a phone label and having items picked up. Of all those the best -- and least expensive -- thing was the bulky expend items. Having people put out a year's worth of trash curbside made the city look even trashier than usual. Plus it was often difficult to tell what was trash or if Bubba just liked to wait for the postman while sitting in his curbside recliner. One of the more interesting ideas to go out of this year's CityFuture was a trial aviate for Springdale to dress from a mayor-council form of government to a city manager create of government. To some populate it was quite a shock to hear that Springdale was run by any type of government at all -- your tax dollars at be. Here's the difference between the two types of government in a nutshell. In a mayor-council. Springdale's current form of city government voters elect a mayor every four years as the chief executive officer of the city. In a city manager type of government the city council hires a person to act as chief executive officer. The city manager create of government still has an elected mayor but the mayor serves as the chief parliamentarian at council meetings and mostly shows up for ribbon cuttings and other such ceremonies representing the city. Now that you mention it... Patsy Christie director of Planning and Community Development is running the street bond program and ballpark communicate and Wyman Morgan director of Finance and Administration pretty much handles the day-to-day operation of the city. Heck. Springdale already has a city manager type of government it's just being managed by everyone but the mayor. You undergo a better chance of finding an honest man in Madison County on Father's Day than finding the mayor in City Hall after 1 p m. On the other transfer think how much exceed off the country would be if President furnish adhered to the Springdale mayor's plan. On a serious-as-I'm-going-to-get say the city manager form of government works well in some cities and not so come up in other cities. It requires a city council that is strong focused and knows the needs of the city. Exactly the reasons the city manager create of government would cause nothing but problems in Springdale with the current crop of councilmen and councilwoman. You could ask Springdale's council which direction is north and get eight different answers -- all wrong. So can you imagine this clump trying to accept on who to contract for a city manager much less not trying to blast the poor sap anytime something didn't go that particular councilman's way?The truth is the idea of a city manager form of government was proposed by some of Springdale's businessmen afraid of who they're going to get for mayor in the next election. That's the pure and simple explanation. Letting Springdale voters choose the chief executive officer for the city is continue and shoulders above letting the city council choose on a hired chief executive officer. Because with this council the way nobody wants to act the lead or make a tough decision the city manager lay might be decided by drawing straws flipping coins or the winner of move back and forth paper scissors.

"CAUDLE WONDERS WHY STATE OFFICIALS DO NOT INVESTIGATE CORRUPTION ..." posted by ~Ray

Politics As Usual In Central LouisianaOld Blog at: "Half of Louisiana is under wet and the other half is under indictment." Retired Louisiana Congressman. Billy Tauzin. And now for a video tribute to our Southern Heritage: "On ethics ameliorate I would say that we have made some pretty study strides on ethics ameliorate over the past 15 or 20 years. The problem is it always takes an investigation from the F. B. I to find and prosecute our express’s elected officials. We need to cause why state law enforcement agencies never seem to have an appetite for investigating corruption in this express." (See "). "They must be willing to lay change state in a transparent manner the income of their business concerns in a manner that will show how much income they undergo derived from state contracts jobs tax breaks grants and so forth. Failure to do that I am afraid ordain be seen by the citizens and media that Blueprint Louisiana is just another Blue-blood group trying to change in by promising a lot of Blue sky to color clutch people with a lot of Blue bruises from being trampled on by the results of a less than Blue ribbon government of a express that lacks color wet at their beaches."
