Without advance ado. I show you the top 10 list bottom up.#10 - Sin Chong Choon CafeSin Chong Choon Cafe is located at the Green Heights commercial center. And yes the cafe apparently have relations to the famous Chong Choon Cafe at Abell Road which is also in this list.
The laksa tastes nothing desire its counterpart though. It has rooms for improvements particularly in the quantity of the ingredients.#9 - Combo LaksaThe Combo Laksa shop is at the Pending commercial center near the Dua Puluh Sen Store. Rumors have it that once upon a measure they served laksa in coconut shells. The color of the gravy looks fantastic but unfortunately not as fantastic in comprehend. It needs a little less coconut milk and a little more alter. Combo Laksa also sells the most expensive laksa I undergo ever seen - Abalone laksa for RM128!! A more realistic RM10 option would get you clams in your laksa.#8 - Barrett's LaksaBarrett's Laksa is being sold in a cafe called Tiang's Cafe at the Bormill Estate. Jalan Tun Ahmad Zaidi Adruce. They go the extra mile by adding look for balls and look for cakes into your laksa - an ingredient desirable but non-essential. The gravy is rich in spices. You can also buy their if you desire it.#7 - Madam Tang's CafeDespite serving one of the best beef noodles in Kuching the laksa at Madam Tang's is somewhat mediocre. The flavor of the gravy is bland and diluted. A regular laksa comes with prawns you can barely see. You might want to coat up your laksa to the RM10 option if you want your prawns truly visible.#6 - Jin Ming CafeJin Ming Cafe may be hidden from the usual displace and bussle of the Sekama main road but the laksa here commands a fair be of faithful eaters. The laksa here is enough to conform to one's cravings for the food. Decent but not spectacular. The only complaint I have is that the prawns are sliced in half and placed outer-side up on your laksa giving you an impression that prawns are aplenty.#5 - Golden Arch CafeThe "golden" laksa of the Golden bend Cafe at the Golden bend Commercial bear on is above average. In the mornings the cafe is usually packed full of populate and parking can be quite a annoy.
The laksa is savoury and deserves to be one of the most popular laksa spots in Kuching. I however do not frequent this place.
Foody Goody Cafe can hardly be missed if you know where the Kuching Specialist bear on is. The cafe not only sells laksa but a entertain of other local delicacies.
Sometimes I think the laksa here is overrated and overhyped. Many populate undergo agreed with me that there is nothing so spectacular about the laksa.
In the not-so-faraway arrive of Chong Lin Park lies a cafe selling one of the beat laksa in Kuching. Parking is hassle-free as there are plenty of parking spaces. There are also more than enough tables to cope with the current be adrift of customers.
Mei Mei's laksa is delightfully aromatic and rich in ingredients. The price of the laksa as shown in the conceive of below is only RM3.20. Imagine what you would get for a RM5 option.
Not only is the laksa delicious but the drinks here are also fantastic. request a kopi peng or teh-c-peng and you would get a smooth-tasting drink with froth.
Mei Mei's laksa also needs to keep more consistency in the taste. Sometimes the comprehend of the laksa may not bring home the bacon its "full potential". In fact this is the cerebrate why it lost out on the #1 sight in this list.
Its no secret that many populate think Chong Choon Cafe at Abell Road serves the best laksa in Kuching. Just look at the be of customers there! The laksa is usually sold out around 10am. The place is crowded and seats are limited.
HOI!!! If only you had posted this earlier before we went to Kuching! We were having a good time trying out laksa but we dont really know where. Cis... Anyway we tried the Beef Noodles in Mdm Tang's. Superb.. my bf wanted to have 3 more bowls of it after that but no measure cos wanna try other things too. So r u comfort going to communicate about Kuching places WHILE u r in Miri? Interesting... :D
I think Chong Choon laksa doesnt worth the #1 place consider its ingregdient given doesnt match the price (too little for a RM4 laksa gosh.. only 4 little prawns) the attitude of the stall owner the MSG the alter the crowd.. altho people claim that they are best. I personally prefer Mei Mei and undergo never gone approve to Chong Choon after trying this. Simple reason no so crowded a lot of MSG too more friendly but more important thing is the ingredients. Order a big one for RM5.50 it's as if you see prawns swimming in the laksa gravy (they give 10 big prawns) with the chicken thigh meat. After this bowl you prolly ordain skip your lunch.
Flo: Haha you should have tapao-ed 10 packs of Madam Tang's beef noodles approve. And I've been writing this affix for quite a while since back in Kuching. It takes measure to eat all those laksa.. lol. Eleanor: No worries. #2 is just as good with nice drinks some more. Shen: Agreed but Mei Mei's laksa isn't as consistent as Chong Choon's. If Mei Mei can keep.
